Do you have a favorite photo but wish it looked more like a painting in order to fit in better with your room decor? If so, Photo Art Designs can help. I’m going to show you this technique with one of my favorite pictures. This is our youngest daughter, with our youngest son. I took this picture in Hawaii and love the blurred ocean background, but I always felt it needed a softer look to really make a statement.
Following is the image after adding a painterly effect. This is done using special brushes inside Photoshop that take the existing colors (pixals) from the photo and modify them with many, many brush strokes, to create the look of a painting. I also punched up the color to make the composition more dramatic.

Next a border is added. I prefer to use borders like this, especially on canvas wraps with no frame because it gives the artwork a finished look.

Finally, some words are added to personalize the composition.
